Discrimination is a key topic you GCSE business students to get to grips with. Today's lesson as such will focus on some of the legislation protecting employees in the UK from discrimination.
We will return to discrimination during employment at a later date although there will be some crossover.
Task 1
In groups you need to look at a particular piece of discrimination act and:
- Define and Explain your act(legislation).
- Explain why it is important to have this legislation
- Judge where it could occur in the recruitment process
Task 2
Choose one student in your group to write a Blog posting covewring the three areas above. You are allowed to paste a definition from the article but the rest should be in your own words.
Each group member must help with writing the post.
Task 3
As a group write 3 multiple choice questions with answers (In word) and upload to fronter: Y10 Discrimination Legislation Questions
These questions should test the other students in your class' knowledge & understanding of your discrimination legislation and will be used in the following lesson.
Homework
Read the other students blog postings and prepare to be quizzed in the following lesson on your knowledge and understanding of the different discrimination acts.
