TEXture
Week 1
·
Jim wasn’t in this week.
Throughout the first week, we have been gathering and
canceling out ideas for our enterprise. Throughout the lesson Robert came up
with the idea of a minecraft or Garry’s mod. At first it seemed as an undetermined
idea and was left aside for quite a while. We came back to the idea when we
were able to reduce the risk of profit loss as the idea would be easy to start
but no costs spend. Due to the new update to minecraft 1.4.2, we are able to
download minecraft for free and use a LAN connection.
Although we are thinking about the idea of valentines, we
yet aren’t sure of the products and how this would run. We are also bringing in
the ideas of running a Garry’s mod game.
We then thought of how we can get money from minecraft. We
soon thought of a Time-Build tournament, where two groups of up to four players
compete under time to build their creation of the category given. We then vote
who will continue to the next round. Entry for this tournament is 5DHMS per
player but we are thinking of the idea of having lower prices when it comes to
paying for a whole four player team. The finals will either be ended by a
hunger games or another Time-Build tournament.
Our enterprise’s name is Texture and the logo is on its way
to completion for next lesson.
The team wasn’t at its full potential during this week both
Sher-Ali and Bogdan where keen to bring up ideas but instead where unable to
express the ideas properly and where almost in a sudden demised, on the other
hand Robert was very energized and was quickly involved into the team.
Next week we have to finalize our logo and start creating
and complete an online survey to get an idea of our potential customer. We have
to try and see if the LAN connection works and minecraft I running properly,
afterwards we have to create a LAN connection server and see if all the
commands are running properly.
By the end of the week we should be able to check the
results of the survey and make a table of results.
