Quantitative Data:
the number of people who like/dislike a product or idea, usually taken on a graph or chart.
Qualitative Data:
data that cannot be measured, such as advice (on how to improve a product) or praise for how well it's done; for example:
Quantitative- the New iPad has over 2000 megapixels more (measurable)
Qualitative- the New iPad has a beautiful Retina Display, which looks great.
qualitative can of course be measured in the number of people who praised the product, or dislike the product, so it can be converted into data.
criticism though cannot be put into a graph or chart, and must be recorded as text, in a non-linear fashion. this can give a more detailed or accurate response, though cannot be translated into direct Data, other than "number of criticisms vs. number of praise"
