Analyzing Market Research:

Quantitative data-
The term quantitative data is used to describe a type of information that can be counted and expressed numerically. This type of data is collected in experiments and allows a statistical analysis of the results. Quantitative data can be represented visually in graphs, histograms, tables or charts. An advantage of this method is that it can deal with large quantities of data and is easily analyzed. Although a disadvantage is not personal and can be input incorrectly.

Qualitative data-
Qualitative data is a term used to describe a type of information that is extremely varied in nature and isn't captured in numerical nature. This is very in depth research that uses focus groups or depth interviews and its used to find out consumers' behaviour and attitudes. An advantage to this is it's very personal and can give you a good understand of people's opinions. A disadvantage however is that the data cannot be analyzed or represented numerically.
